Privacy policy

Murmure provides audio walking tours through a mobile app, including offline use, and a web studio for creators. This policy explains what data we process and how you remain in control.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Steffen Guillaume, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel), 25 boulevard commandant Autran, 06130 Grasse, France. Contact: tourguideyeup@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: email address and account identifier.
  • Payments: purchase and subscription status. Card details are handled by payment providers.
  • Creator content: recordings, text, photos and points of interest, including location data.
  • Usage: technical events, diagnostics and aggregated analytics.
  • Location: precise location while a tour or creator capture is actively in use.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide the service and perform our contract, improve and secure Murmure based on our legitimate interests, meet legal obligations, and send optional communications where you have consented.

4. Service providers

We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, authentication and storage; Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple and Google for payments; and analytics, notification and diagnostic providers. They only receive data needed for their services.

5. Retention

Data is kept only as long as the purposes above require, then deleted or anonymised:

  • Active account: for as long as the account exists.
  • Inactive account (36 months without sign-in): automatic deletion.
  • After account deletion: immediate erasure; billing records kept 10 years (legal obligation).
  • Technical logs: 30 days.
  • Audience measurement (Amplitude, with your consent): 5 years, pseudonymised.
  • Data exports (signed links): 7 days.

6. International transfers

Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability by contacting tourguideyeup@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for France: CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr)).

8. Delete your account

In the Murmure app, open Settings, then Personal dataand choose Delete my account. If you cannot access the app, use the account deletion request page.

9. Local storage and cookies

The web portal uses browser storage to maintain your session and preferences. Murmure does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Audience measurement (Amplitude, servers in the European Union, IP address not collected) only runs with your consent, requested on your first visit. You can withdraw it at any time: .

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and secured hosting. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should also choose a strong password.
