Find, purchase and listen to a tour

Do I need an account to explore?
The catalogue and available previews are public. To purchase and find your purchases, use your Murmure account: the same account on the website and in the app.
How do I listen on the website?
Open a tour and choose Discover the audio. Start a scene or the tour, pause and resume using the player. Audio starts after your action.
What happens after payment?
The tour is available after payment confirmation and the server checks your access. Find it in My tours using the account that made the purchase. If confirmation takes time, check your tours before starting another purchase.
Can I change the audio language?
The player offers the audio languages available for that tour. The website and audio languages may differ. Changing the website language does not make a missing translation available.
Where is my progress saved?
Resume information is stored in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data or signing out can remove it. Progress is not synchronised across devices.
Can I listen offline or walk with the screen locked?
The web player needs a connection to load audio. Installing the website does not download tours for offline use. The map can locate you with your permission, but the website does not trigger GPS scenes with the screen locked. Use the features provided in the app for walking.

What is Murmure?

Murmure offers audio walking tours. Travellers listen on the website or in the app, while guides create and translate tours in the web studio.

Create a tour, step by step

From the first idea to publication in seven clear steps.

01

Create your tour

Open the studio, choose a title and city, then create your draft.

Tip - A specific, evocative title helps travellers understand the experience.

02

Add the details

Add a description, cover image, themes, difficulty, duration, distance and the languages you want to offer.

03

Map the route

Place points of interest by address or on the map, reorder them and choose automatic, manual or GPX routing.

04

Tell each scene

Write your script, add photos, record your voice, import audio or generate narration from text.

Tip - Synthetic voice is available when you prefer not to record.

05

Translate

Generate French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Dutch versions, then review every translation before submission.

06

Preview

Review the experience exactly as travellers will see and hear it.

07

Publish

Submit the tour for moderation. Once approved, it appears in the web and app catalogues.

Tips for a successful tour

  • Keep scenes short, ideally one to three minutes.
  • Use a conversational tone, as if you were guiding a friend.
  • Start every scene with a reason to keep listening.
  • Check every GPS point on the map.
  • Review automatic translations before publishing.
